Warm, caring and enthusiastic are the adjectives which best describe our staff of carefully selected teachers and aides. The staff are certified in Early Childhood Education and are CPR and First Aid certified. They must complete and pass a background check and health screening.

They continue to take up-to-date seminars keeping them informed of new information in the areas of Child Growth and Development, Positive Guidance and Discipline and Health and Safety Procedures. All Friendship Center staff members are required to complete Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) and fingerprinting. They are also checked through the Bureau of Licensing in the NJ Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) for Child Abuse Record Information. In addition to our paid staff, many retiree volunteers offer a grandparent's approach when presenting ideas or adding a hug to your child's day.
